Summertime

What a blessing I had at the Gulf States Campmeeting. There was a wonderful group of women at my meetings every morning. It was my first visit to Bass Academy and it is a beautiful campus and so are the people.

I was also blessed to be at the Dothan, AL church. I spent a beautiful day there sharing during the worship hour and a concert in the evening. I think summer comes a little early in that part of the country.

Roy and I are looking forward to a family reunion in Arkansas for the fourth of July. My son Aaron and his family have a beautiful home there on the lake. My brother's and their families will also be there, and our daughter Ashley and her family as well.

I look forward to the constant reunion we will experience soon in heaven. No need to look forward or set a date. What a day that will be!

It's Finally Spring! -April 2010

What a beautiful spring we are having here in Tennessee. And I must say, we deserve it after the bitterly cold months we've had to endure. But soon enough the roses will be blooming and freezing temperatures will be a distant memory. And though it is a glorious thing to enjoy a rose garden all summer, there is nothing like looking into the sunny face of a daffodil after a hard winter. It speaks to our hearts in a way the rose could never do. It just goes to show us that everything has it's place and purpose. Amen!

I have been pleasantly busy with personal and ministry things. I am looking forward to some upcoming dates. I will be in Dothan, AL on May 8. I will speak during the worship hour and give a concert for Vespers. Please come out if you are in the area.

Also I will be a speaker at the Gulf States Campmeeting May 24-27. I look forward to being a part of this Spritual retreat and perhaps meeting some of you. I will update you on some other dates during the summer soon.

Remember that Jesus loves even you. "Cast all you cares upon Him."

January 2010

We've been in a deep freeze here for the last couple weeks. But things are beginning to get back to normal temps here. I am so grateful. Cold weather is not my thing.

This past November, the weekend before Thanksgiving, I was part of a Women's Retreat in North Carolina. It was inspiring group of women that blessed my heart. It is such a gift to be able to travel around and meet and talk with so many people-making new friends in the process.

Roy went with me to the retreat and made himself scarce because afterward we made our way down to Ft. Lauderdale to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with our daughter Ashley and her family.

Roy and I had a wonderful Christmas with our children and grandchildren visiting us for almost a week. We had a very full house and it was a precious time.

2009 was one of my busiest ministry years. Praise God. And I am looking forward to another blessed year. Because Jesus lives in 2010!

Please listen for my radio interview on January 31 on Lifetalk radio.

May the Lord make His face shine on you today!

September 2009

I was so blessed to speak and sing at the Richardson,TX SDA Church this past Sabbath. The people were so warm and friendly, and filled with the Spirit.
Roy and I got to visit with my family who lives in the Dallas area while we were there. It made the trip even more special.

Please tune in to the 3ABN Fall Campmeeting the last weekend of this month for a wonderful time of music and preaching. I am looking forward to taking part once again.

It seems like summer has passed all too quickly. It is my favorite time of year. But I am thankful for whatever season it is. "This is the day (season) that the Lord has made. (I) will rejoice and be glad in it"....

The Lazy Daze of Summer July 2009

I love summer. It's my favorite time of year. There's no hassle of coats, and hats, and sweaters. Just flip-flops and T-shirts. Sometimes the days aren't so lazy when there's a garden to see after. Even so, it's all good.

Now that the campmeeting season is over, it's time to visit family and friends.
We have trips planned for Florida to see our daughter and her family and some long time friends. Our son and his family presently live nearby but are in the process of moving to Arkansas. It's bittersweet. Even though we won't see them as often, we have the travel to look forward to. And, I'm sure with those trips to Arkansas, we will see more of my brother's and their families in Dallas.

Check out my LifeTalk Radio Profiles interview to air sometime in August. It features my GO FREE CD.

I am free in Jesus, and free this summer. And I just want to praise Him for blessing me above all I could ever ask or think.

Spring At Last 4-27-09

The day couldn't be more beautiful. It's seemed to be a much longer winter this year that usual. And that has made this spring much more appreciated. I would like to hope I won't take fair weather for granted again.

I have been busy the past few months with many things. But one thing in particular stands out as a highlight-- the wonderful time I had at the Gulf States Conference women's retreat last month. I was so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful group of women.

Beginning May 14 I hope you will tune into 3ABN for the Kenneth Cox Series. I will be singing for a few nights, and I know you will be blessed by his timely messages.

This world is in a rough state of affairs right now. But we know that our needs will be met. We are promised, so that should make us sleep better at night. We must do all we can to achieve a good outcome, but when we have done all we can we must trust the one who knows every circumstance of our lives. What do we have to worry about when we have a Helper who holds up worlds!

God bless each of you as you prepare for upcoming campmeetings, graduations, and end-of-school-year activities. But remember to stop and take in all of God's beautiful creation as he renews our hearts with spring again.

December 2008

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given". Isaiah 9:6

What greater gift is there? The Wonderful, Mighty, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace, given to us this Christmas and every Christmas! Rejoice, Rejoice, all His sons and daughters! We are most blessed.

Let us remember, when all else fails us. When family and friends aren't there for us. When death has separated us from loved ones. When money is tight and jobs are few, and uncertainty fills the air. He stands sure and strong. He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. He is the Resurrection and the Life. He is Jehovah-jirah our Provider.

We have every reason to feel the joy of the season. For the Baby came to save us. And our Christ will come to claim us!

Hallelujah!
With the love of Jesus I pray you have a very, merry Christmas,

October 2008

Dear Friends,
I want to share with you a beautiful quote that was read to me this afternoon by a brother in Christ from the beautiful island of Jamaica. It blessed me so much and I know it will bless you, too.

"When in faith we take hold of His strength, He will change, wonderfully change, the most hopeless, discouraging outlook. He will do this for the glory of His name". Ellen White

Isn't that beautiful? No matter what we, or those we know, are going through, He knows and cares. Let's talk courage and faith to those around us and ours can't help but grow in the process.

It has been a while since I have shared what's been happening. I had a wonderful weekend last month in Atlanta at the Southern Union Women's Retreat, 1800 women strong. I pray I was a blessing to those there. But this I do know. I came away with a greatest blessing. I was truly fed by the speakers.

I have been doing quite a bit of writing lately. Look for my most recent article in the November issue of Renewed and Ready Magazine due out this month. I will be taping again soon at 3ABN. Look for my Christmas concert to air in December.

Stay in touch,

Spring has sprung and I have been lax in writing. I have been wonderfully busy with many things. Roy and I had a wonder ful trip to Texas for a concert and then on to Florida to visit our daughter, Ashley, and family.

I had a blessed weekend at the GA-Cumberland Women's Retreat at Cohutta Springs last month. It was great fun to visit with so many wonderful ladies.

I am about to make a trip to Savannah for a radio promo concert. And then I look forward to being a part of the Ten Commandment weekend at 3ABN at the end of May. Hope to see you there.

God is so good. Everything is bright with color and new life. Let's take more time to stop and smell the roses or the many other flowers God has given us, before they fade away.

I hope you will take the time to write me and let me hear from you.

May the Lord make His face to shine upon you today!
